We are hiring a Buyer to support procurement for our custom manufacturing operations. This role focuses on sourcing materials, managing suppliers, and ensuring on-time delivery to support production.

Responsibilities

  • Review purchase requisitions for accuracy and approvals
  • Source materials and obtain supplier quotations
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and freight where applicable
  • Issue purchase orders and maintain system accuracy
  • Track and expedite orders to meet delivery timelines
  • Coordinate shipments and monitor supplier performance
  • Work with internal teams to resolve material issues
  • Support supplier quality issues and non-conformance (NCRs)

Requirements

  • Experience in purchasing or procurement (manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and supplier relationship skills
  • Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency
  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain or related field (asset)
  • Experience with industrial materials, steel, or custom components (asset)
