ISO 9001 Manufacturing For Engineered Marine Equipment

Hawboldt’s modern 40,000 square foot facility has the capacity to handle both large and small projects, as well as repairs and maintenance.

The plant includes:

Recent investments in new plant equipment include electric furnaces, overhead cranes and new CNC machinery. These improvements expand on our ability to meet the demand for custom-designed products with accelerated delivery.

Our plant is ISO 9001 registered and works to a highly evolved quality discipline. Under the guidance of our Quality Department, Hawboldt products meet and exceed commercial, government and military standards for safety, dependability and performance.

Machine Shop

Hawboldt production facilities include a comprehensive machine shop featuring state-of-the-art CNC equipment, in addition to a broad range of manual lathes, drill presses, milling machines and presses. Our horizontal lathes have swings up to 76″ (1 930 mm).

Welding and Assembly Shop

Hawboldt welding and assembly shops include gas metal arc (flux core wire) for welding aluminum, steel and stainless steel. Cutting equipment includes a NC plasma-arc and acetylene burning table as well as arc-air capabilities. Welders are certified to CWB W47.1, W47.2 and W59.

Hydraulic Shop

The Hawboldt hydraulic shop features a test stand with a 125 HP main drive and 5000 psi constant pressure capacity, able to perform complete dynamic testing of hydraulic equipment in either an open or closed loop. A fully equipped service truck with highly trained personnel.

Paint Shop

Our paint shop specializes in protective coatings for the toughest marine conditions. The paint line includes a steel shot blast booth and spray booth, with facilities for sandblasting and hot spray galvanizing.

Foundry (non-ferrous)

Foundry work has been part of Hawboldt capabilities for over 100 years. Our shop is equipped with both electric-induction and oil-fired furnaces, with up to 1,500 lbs. capacity for pouring brass, bronze alloys and aluminum.

Propeller Shop

Our propeller shop is equipped to manufacture new Monobloc propellers to 70″ (1 778 mm) diameter in manganese, bronze and nickel aluminum bronze. The shop also repairs Monobloc and CP (controllable pitch) propeller blades to ISO 484 standards.
